Weddings

  • Maree Johnston officiating an elopement at Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, with two brides in white dresses standing beside the lake surrounded by forested mountains.

    Elopements

Just the two of you and maybe a few loved ones - somewhere beautiful and/or meaningful. No aisle, no crowd, no big production. Just a personal ceremony that focuses on your vows, your connection, and the moment you say yes.

Want to add a ritual or something symbolic? I'm happy to help with that, too.

  • Maree Johnston leading a wedding ceremony at the Fort Collins Museum of Art, with the couple standing on a wooden platform in a bright gallery surrounded by guests.

    Simple Ceremonies

This is my tried-and-true ceremony, shaped over 20 years and ready to go. You’ll choose your vows and the overall tone (secular, spiritual, or somewhere in between), and I’ll lead you through a memorable wedding that doesn’t need anything extra to feel complete.

If you’re hoping to include a ritual or symbolic element, I do have a handful of pre-written options available as an upgrade. Just know that everything else in this package is beautifully polished, but not custom written.

  • Maree Johnston officiating a joyful outdoor wedding at the Mishawaka Amphitheater along the Poudre River, with the couple laughing under a floral arch.

    Signature Ceremonies

This is the full, custom experience. It’s also where I do my best work. I take your stories, values, and the feelings you want your people to carry, and craft a ceremony just for you. It’s built from scratch, with space for readings, rituals, cultural or spiritual elements, and anything else that fits who you are.

If you need help writing your vows, I’m happy to guide you.

Every ceremony is different. The length and elements will vary, but it’s always personal, intentional, and made with love. If you want your ceremony to feel like a gift to your people, this is the one.
