What's the difference between an Elopement and a Destination Wedding?
Elopements are intended to be private weddings. They are focused on you as a couple, and your rites of marriage.
There's no grand entrance, no "giving away," and no marriage address.
In short: the ceremony is just for you guys.
An intimate way to say your vows - with less pressure and formality.
Elopements are perfect for no guests, or just a few guests.
Invite your BFF's, invite your kids - but when you invite too many people... an elopement ceremony is too small for the occasion.
Elopements are short/sweet and contain light customization based on your questionnaire responses. They are generally non-religious... but I'm happy to sprinkle a little sanctification in there if you'd like.
If you have more guests - please consider:
Destination Weddings/Full Ceremonies are more of a community experience with traditional elements: formal entrances/exits, tributes, and open/close addresses.
Full ceremonies don't have to take forever (they can be as short as 15 minutes) and they're more interesting and entertaining for your people than an intimate elopement.
*Travel = $0.55/mile
(if more than 25 miles from Johnstown, Colorado)
Examples: Vail = $155 added for mileage. Breckenridge = $135. Sapphire Point = $130. Colorado Springs = $125. Golden = $70. Allenspark = $55. Lyons = $35. Longmont = $25. Rocky Mountain National Park = $60-70.
Overnights: If distance (one way) exceeds 200 miles there is an additional charge of $200/day for overnight expenses.
Examples: Maroon Bells = $460 travel ($260 mileage + $200 overnight). Aspen = $420 travel ($220 mileage + $200 overnight).
Outside Colorado: I travel! I am licensed to perform legal ceremonies in all 50 states and I love to explore. Costs vary but I have a pretty good system to figure it now and I'd love to send you a quote. Contact me today about your non-Colorado wedding!
