Frequently Asked Questions

Every couple’s ceremony is unique, but some questions come up again and again. Here are a few quick answers to help you plan with confidence. And if you don’t see what you’re wondering about: just ask!

  • Reach out through my contact form and I’ll check my calendar. If I’m available, we’ll chat about your plans and I’ll send a no-obligation quote. Once you’ve looked it over, you can accept it, sign the contract, and pay the 50% retainer - all in one tidy email. That’s when your date is officially booked and we can start planning.

  • About two months before your ceremony, I’ll send you a short, easy (and surprisingly fun) questionnaire to help me get to know your story and what you want the ceremony to feel like. You’ll have about a month to complete it.

Once I receive your answers, I’ll write your ceremony and send you a draft about two weeks before your date so you can look it over and make sure it feels just right. This timing keeps everything fresh, focused, and stress-free as your day gets close.

  • I’ll arrive early, help keep everyone calm and smiling, and guide you through your ceremony with care. Afterward, I’ll make sure your marriage license is signed and safely filed with the county clerk. Then I’ll quietly disappear so you can get on with the celebrating.

  • Yes! The people (and animals) who make up your family are a huge part of your story. There are lovely ways to include them - through readings, unity rituals, or even just a shared moment that honors your bond as a family.

  • Yes! A rehearsal can make everyone feel more relaxed and confident before the ceremony. It’s especially helpful if you have a larger wedding party, a complicated setup, or just a touch of pre-wedding jitters.

Rehearsal attendance is included with the Signature Ceremony and available as an add-on with the Simple Ceremony, as my schedule allows.
