What's the difference between an elopement and a full ceremony? Great question!
My elopements are essentially a much sweeter version of the courthouse ceremony and under 5-10 minutes total length (without customization). There is no grand entrance, no "giving away," the address is super short, and there is no need for a rehearsal.
The ceremony is my original pre-written script, with light customization based on your questionnaire responses. There's a bit of Shakespeare, a bit of humor, and a lot of love. They are generally non-religious... but I'm happy to sprinkle a little Jesus in there if you'd like!
Elopements are ideal for weddings with very few or no guests, as the focus is on the couple, and not the attendees. (Elopements are meant to be private, and inviting too many people will make the ceremony seem too small for the occasion.)
Looking for a longer elopement for 5-15 guests? Add customization and a unity ritual for a ceremony that runs 10-15 minutes and can involve your loved ones.
Are you expecting more than 15 guests? Check out my Custom Weddings page! Full weddings don't have to take forever (they can be as short as 15 minutes), and they're more of a community experience than an intimate elopement.
